All our door knockers are surface mounted. This means no drill holes, nuts or bolts on the inside of your door. The screws and fittings supplied are best suited to wooden doors. If your door is made from another material, we recommend you check with the door manufacturer in case it voids the warranty. You can view detailed instructions on how to fit your door knocker here.
Our door knockers are cast in premium grade brass. We chose brass due to its unfading beauty and excellent resistance to corrosion. Each door knocker is aged naturally and will arrive with an ‘aged appearance.’ Over time, it will darken further developing a unique patina. We recommend periodic cleaning with a wire brush and polishing with a clear wax. You can view our care recommendations here.
